And this year, there&#8217;s a surprise in store: a new, interactive component. In the spirit of the season, The Present creates a space for LOVE Park visitors to donate to two great causes:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Support Philly parks: donate to <a href=\"https:\/\/myphillypark.org\/\">Fairmount Park Conservancy<\/a>, the nonprofit champion of Philly\u2019s green spaces.<\/li>\n<li>Help end homelessness: donate to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.projecthome.org\/\">Project HOME<\/a>. This group empowers individuals to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Now, after making a donation, visitors can trigger a series of color and patterns changes. These effects will race around the ribbon&#8217;s edges and bring The Present to life.<\/p>\n<h2>The gift that keeps on giving<\/h2>\n<p>Bank of America Charitable Foundation will match individual contributions up to $5,000.00 for the above-listed organizations.<\/p>\n<p>The Present will debut on Giving Tuesday, December 3. Things wrap up for the season on Tuesday, December 31 (New Year&#8217;s Eve).<\/p>\n<h2>Did you know?<\/h2>\n<p>The Present features:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A 4-foot decorative bow<\/li>\n<li>Five miles of red and white LED lights<\/li>\n<li>100,000 bulbs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Presented by Philadelphia Parks &amp; Recreation and Fairmount Park Conservancy. <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1Olagp52RSHEz1PZbPX9gYg2lnG-l_vWK\/view\">View a video of last year\u2019s installation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>New pop-up gift shop<\/h2>\n<p>Also new to Christmas Village this year: a pop-up gift shop featuring LOVE Park themed items and more. Proceeds benefit two good causes\u2013Philly parks and Project HOME. You&#8217;ll find the shop in a bright red shipping container near 16th and Arch Streets. The shop will sell the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mugs, winter hats, t-shirts, and more.<\/li>\n<li>Limited-edition keepsakes made from original LOVE Park granite.<\/li>\n<li>Candles from Project HOME\u2019s Social Enterprise Program.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The shop will operate from November 22 through New Year\u2019s Eve.
